Sixteen volumes of staff-notation transcriptions of Coptic liturgical chant, compiled by Ernest Newlandsmith working with Ragheb Moftah and the blind cantor Mikhail El-Batanouny — the first systematic Western notation of the orally transmitted chant tradition, preserved with their correspondence in the Library of Congress.
